Ganesh as an inspiring teenager

Mithila Wildlife Trust is an organization where we rescue the wildlife and assemble survey in a Bhatighari community forest where all our researchers and team members are executing their work. We do a survey for acknowledging knowledge about all the species of birds, snakes, and animals. In this Pandemic time, our team member Ganesh has done a lot of rescues in that area. He rescued different species of snakes and kept it in a safe zone. As he is a very inspiring teenager to do such dangerous work in our team and we are very proud of having him in our team. He had just passed out 11 class and as a teenager, he has a eat source of knowledge about other things also. He is an amazing artist who draw Mithila Paintings and a mesmerizing photographer who is interested mostly in clicking pics of birds and animals. Although, he wants to study science for making his carrier in wildlife but due to the famine of the facilities he was unable to study that and he has to choose another subject but also his interest doesn’t get down and he wants to execute something big for his nation and want to develop the Mithila region by admiring people. As we are very privileged to have him in Mithila Wildlife Trust.

Suckermouth Catfish (Hypostomus plecostomus) Rescued from Dhanushadham

Sucker fish or Suckermouth Catfish (Hypostomus plecostomus), rescued from the pond of Mr. Hem Narayan Yadav, President of Ward No.-6, Dhanushadham Municipality, Dhanusha, Province No.-2, Nepal. The fish was handed over to be released in Dhanush pond inside Dhanushadham Protected Forest. Dhanush pond is basically used to protect indigenous fish and turtles of Terai region in Nepal. This fish sucks small fishes and its’ thorny scales/fins injures other fishes in the pond. So, it’s an alarming sign for the fish farm owners of Janakpur region. This fish has no value as food. So, its’ a humble request that, if you find this fish in your fish farming field, just catch it and release in the pond where no commercial fish farming is being carried out or kill it. Finding of this fish species in the ponds of rural area of Janakpur is an alarming sign for all fish farm owners, so, the farmers need to be alert about this fish.
