We, Mithila wildlife trust ,a non-profitable non-governmental organization. Established in 2013 A.D. (2069 B.S.) in Central Nepal, the organization is founded by a group of experts working towards conservation of nature and wildlife, in collaboration with Chora Chori , UK registered charity, Gandys, Last night a DJ saved my life is operating a food relief campaign to people who are facing starvation on daily basis in Nepal due to lock-down.
Due to COVID-19 outbreak, the government of Nepal has announced lock-down throughout the country, All the small business of those people have stopped, people from marginalized communities whose income was totally depended on wage of small business and working as laborers, migrants workers etc in south of Nepal. The marginalized communities have to go through the problem for fulfilling the basic needs like food.
A food relief campaign has been organised to distribute food and necessary requirements to the marginalised, untouchable, disadvantaged groups of Dhaushadham, Nepal. The relief was to given to the local people including disabled, orphans, single family, aged people, unemployed ones, people not enough qualified for government relief, people with no citizenships and many more.
A disabled man who was working in a butcher’s shop lost his income because of lockdown, his chronically disabled wife and his little daughter in desperate condition due to hands-to-mouth problems, was helped by the campaign.We have provided two tranches of food at £11 per tranche that is enough for 20 days.
we provided:
- 15 kg of rice
- 3 kg of lentils
- 1kg of salt
- 2.5kg of potato
- 1kg of onion
- 1kg of soya bean
- 2 litres of oil
We would like to thank all the youths, organizations to making it possible to deliver the relief. we are really grateful to all the people who helped us in this campaign. This campaign has helped many lives to survive during this pandemic.
