A MEGA STEP TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE FUTURE OF JANAKPUR

For first time in history, Janakpur is jeweled with the development which will bound regular tourists and pilgrims of Janakpur to spend more time and attract new tourists to the area. Several records show that Janakpur receives around 10 Lakh (One million) tourists every year. They visit Janaki temple in Janakpur and Dhanush temple at Dhanushadham and return back within no time lacking tourism spot in the area. It is natural that if we visit a place for half an hour, we carry fast food or readymade food with us instead of staying or having food in hotels and restaurants at that place. Janakpur is facing the same. Instead of getting benefited, Janakpur is used as a dust bin to throw plastic bags or packing materials and food wastes carried with the tourist. No hotel or restaurants get benefited at the level of tourist Janakpur receives every year. One will be highly excited to know that tourists visiting Janakpur and Dhanushadham will be able to spend much time here. Animal enclosures are being constructed in the forest situated at Dhanushadham, near Dhanush temple (20 KM North–east from Janakpur). Snake enclosure and turtle enclosure is constructed as part of proposed Dhanushadham Biological Unit inside Dhanushadham Protected Forest. Though the plan has been approved by Government of Nepal in 2069 B.S. (2013 AD), it is unable to drag the attention of Government or other donor agencies. The development is being carried out with the small-small contributions from individuals of Nepal, donations through Mithila Wildlife Trust and budget of Dhanushadham Protected Forest by Department of Forest, Government of Nepal. Some of the wild animals rescued by Mithila Wildlife Trust will be housed in enclosures for exhibition where most of them are directly released in the wild. We believe that this will encourage local residents and tourist of the park to conserve wildlife. You are heartily invited to visit Dhanushadham Protected Forest and guide us through the developments. You can also contribute in the developments. Name plate will be attached with the development for your contributions. Let’s join together to develop Janakpur. Recently, Incredible Mithila, a social enterprise in technical support of Lakshya Career Education and Research Center has started Explore Mithila campaign which is fusion of Adventure, Culture, Tourism and Science (ACTS). Tourists are allowed to spend 24 hours inside forest and know each and every aspects of Dhanushadham Protected Forest and surroundings. Once can contact Incredible Mithila for booking the the packages.

Ganesh as an inspiring teenager

Mithila Wildlife Trust is an organization where we rescue the wildlife and assemble survey in a Bhatighari community forest where all our researchers and team members are executing their work. We do a survey for acknowledging knowledge about all the species of birds, snakes, and animals. In this Pandemic time, our team member Ganesh has done a lot of rescues in that area. He rescued different species of snakes and kept it in a safe zone. As he is a very inspiring teenager to do such dangerous work in our team and we are very proud of having him in our team. He had just passed out 11 class and as a teenager, he has a eat source of knowledge about other things also. He is an amazing artist who draw Mithila Paintings and a mesmerizing photographer who is interested mostly in clicking pics of birds and animals. Although, he wants to study science for making his carrier in wildlife but due to the famine of the facilities he was unable to study that and he has to choose another subject but also his interest doesn’t get down and he wants to execute something big for his nation and want to develop the Mithila region by admiring people. As we are very privileged to have him in Mithila Wildlife Trust.
