The first management committee of Dhanushadham Protection Forest was formed on 17.06.2014 AD (03.03.2071 BS). This is the first management committee of the forest since its’ announcement as Dhanushadham Protection Forest on 2069.11.14 BS (03.03.2013 AD). The programme was chaired by Mr. Birendra Sah, DFO Dhanusha, chief guest Mr. Guru Suvedi, LDO Dhanusha and special guest Mr. Ram Bahadur Shhrestha, from Multistakeholder Forestry Programme. Other present members were, Mr. Parmeswar Sah from VDC Federation, Shyam Lal Mahto from Jaladh Sajhedari Forest, Nagrik Samaj, Mahila Sanjal, District level and VDC level active politicians and Media personnel.
Eight interaction programmes, micing and Four final meetings were organized in all the villages of Buffer zone for the member selection process.
Working committee contains 11 members chaired by Mr. Jagdish Yadav and Monitoring committee of 5 chaired by Mr. Parmeswar Sah.
Membership Certificates were distributed by DFO, Birendra Sah to all the working committee and monitoring committee members.
Chairman, MWT was selected as secretary of the working committee. MWT Chairman mentioned that this will add an extra effort to the Department of Forest and Mithila Wildlife Trust towards protection and restoration of the forest.
