Yesterday evening, MWT rescued one Juvenile Cobra (Naja naja) from Mithileshwar-Sirsiya Chowk. The snake was rescued just besides the chowk, so, it helped a lot to aware the public present at the chowk. The chowk is situated in middle of Janakpur-Dhanusha road. Approx. 50 people were present during rescue process. MWT chairman explained about the snake and its importance in ecosystem after the successful rescue. The awareness using live specimen works best in Terai region of Nepal.

Soon after the First rescue, we also attended another snake rescue call. The snake was confirmed as Banded Kukri Snake (Oligodon arnensis) by MWT chairman after the rescue. This is the Fourth Kukri snake rescued from same village.
