The first Community Learning Center setup by Mithila Wildlife Trust to provide additional educational support to the highly marginalized community in Terai region of Nepal has beed extended.
The concept of Community Learning Center was started in 2014 in a temporary Thatched building which got the first set of 2 permanent rooms in 2021. The number of students kept increasing and we had to construct another set of CLC. The old CLC will serve students upto class 5the while new will serve class 6th to 10th. We’re grateful to the amazing supporter, Pipal Tree for continuous support in this success.
Our team Mithila Wildlife Trust along with our Executive Director recently visited the newly extended community Learning (CLC) at Dhanusha Dham. The old CLC had served the community for year. With the requirement, as the more numbers of students been increasing day by day, We have added the new extension of old one. The new Community learning center is fully operational, providing a better learning environment for students.
During our visit, we observed the ongoing teaching activities and the overall management of the center. It was inspiring to see students engaged in their lessons and the teachers putting in great efforts to create a meaningful learning experience. The new building offers improved facilities, creating a comfortable space for education and skill development with the other amenities.
This visit made our belief in the importance of education and community learning in empowering local people even more effectively. We look forward to see the positive impact this new CLC will have on the community.
