Rescued spectacled cobra at Mithila Bihari Muncipality-10

Mithila Wildlife Trust works to protect the wildlife of Dhanusha district and keeping them in a safe place. We are doing a survey in the Bhatigari community forest and our team members are giving their best in protecting wildlife without harming them. As we are assembling our survey on Dhanusha district of Mithila Bihari Municipality- 10 near  Janakpurdham. We rescued spectacled cobra  and after rescuing that we took it to a safe place in a forest.

spectacled cobra is scientifically known as (Naja Naja) and it belongs to the genus Naja. It is a member of the “big four” venomous snakes. This species in amongst the four snakes in India that inflict the most snakebites on humans. The Spectacled Cobra is a good swimmer and active both in daytime and night. Prey base includes rodents, toads, frogs, birds, and snakes. It can be recognized by its large, impressive hood, which the cobra expands when threatened in order to appear larger.  Our team member Ganesh has rescued it and locals are very happy after seeing that.

Mithila Wildlife Trust main aim is to protect and conserve wildlife and also that locality from those dangerous animals.
