The snake looks so cute and it has also moulted (also known as molting, sloughing and shedding) the skin at night in snake rescue box of Mithila Wildlife Trust, Nepal as it can be recognized in the photo.

Snakes rub against rough surfaces to assist removal of their shed skin. The frequency of shedding depends on many factors like species, age, nutritional and reproductive status, the presence of skin parasites or bacteria, and ambient enclosure temperature and humidity. Younger snakes use to shed more frequently than adults and shedding often precedes mating and giving birth. The most common causes of improper or incomplete shedding are related to husbandry and nutrition.
