On 11th November 2014 (2071 Kartick 25) afternoon, while Dhanushadham Protected Forest Council -Working Committee was preparing for a meeting, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Mahto, a member from the same committee came with a snake. Though he didn’t touch the snake physically, he kept the snake in a plastic bottle with help of a stick and brought to the Dhanushadham Protected Forest where MWT chairman was also present. He handed over the plastic bottle with snake to him.

One of the members asked him how he got the courage of it. He replied “Generally I used to kill the snakes within no time, but since the date I came in touch of Mithila Wildlife Trust, I use to leave them without disturbing. I had never seen this snake in my lifetime, so, I thought of brining here for confirmation.” The snake was confirmed as Twin-Spotted Wolf Snake which is also known as Yellow Speckled Wolf Snake. It’s a non venomous snake.

MWT is grateful to him for his awesome work done to save a life.
