The International Day of Biological Diversity was meaningfully celebrated through a successful awareness session conducted at Shree Mithila Secondary School, Kachuri. Organized by Mithila Wildlife Trust (MWT), the program aimed to emphasize the importance of conserving biodiversity and raising awareness among students about the interconnectedness of all life on Earth.
The session was led by MWT Executive Director Mr. Sachin Kumar Singh, who shared his deep insights on the role of biodiversity in sustaining ecosystems, supporting human life, and maintaining ecological balance. His presentation inspired students and teachers alike to become active participants in conservation efforts.
Joining him was Researcher Mr. Sumit Jha, who delivered an informative talk on bird conservation, explaining the key role birds play in healthy ecosystems—from pest control to seed dispersal. He also discussed the significance of bird watching as a tool for education, conservation, and ecotourism.
Providing crucial behind-the-scenes help, Mr. Pradip Ram offered technical support throughout the session, ensuring that the event ran smoothly and effectively reached its audience.
