Relief packages were distributed to unprivileged families of Pakhamainpur Village – 4 by MWT Bara and Parsa Team today. MWT is active amid the coronavirus pandemic to provide relief to affected families to sustain themselves in this lockdown.

It has been 2 months since the govt. of Nepal imposed lockdown across the whole country to slow down the further spread of COVID-19. Families that were dependent upon daily wages for their livelihood have been hit hard by the lockdown. They are not able to sustain and meet daily needs as their economy has come to halt.

In response to the request by locals over there, we have distributed relief to 85 families of Musahar Basti in Pakhamainpur Village of Parsa. Dalit activist Manoj Ram notified the Team at MWT about the need of relief over there.

In the presence of Ward president of ward 4, the relief package was distributed. The happiness of the local people was really visible on their faces. Mithila Wildlife Trust is planning further to reach more people who are in need to help them sustain in this lockdown.
