Mr. Dev Narayan Mandal, Chairman, MWT presented One hour presentation on the programmes and activities being carried out by the organisation and also the proposed activities in the Bara district were clearly explained to all the stakeholders.
With an aim of conservation education in the community schools of Buffer Zone, all the proposed activities will be centered in the Buffer Zone of Parsa Wildlife Reserve in the district. Main focus will be to connect students with the conservation works of Parsa Wildlife Reserve.
Eco-teacher, Mr. Kavin Kumar Yadav from Shri Napal National Higher Secondary School, Pathlaiya presented the present works they have been carrying through their eco-club and our part to strengthen the eco-clubs in the areas. The method to prepare school bag with the waste plastic bags was highly impressive to all.
We are highly grateful to SP, Bara – Narendra Upreti sir for his valuable suggestions including the need to maintain data of our works which seems to be lacking and the need to focus on the alternative livelihood of the dependent community to reduce pressure on the forest.
We are also thankful to Sh. Ashok Ram sir, Sahayak Sanrakshan Adhikrit, PWR for his remarks that MWT is more likely a Service oriented organisation which serves the wild animals as well as human being reducing the casualties from human-wildlife conflict.
We are thankful to everybody for managing time for the programme out of their busy schedule.
Hope to have a long term relationship with all during conservation of natural resources and wildlife in Bara district as well.
