On occasion of 20th Wildlife Week 2072 and New Year 2072, Department of Forest, Dhanusha in support of Dhanushadham Protected Forest Council and Save The Historical Janakpur, Dhanushadham Mass-cleaning Programme, Interaction Programme and Awareness Rally was organized at Dhanushdham in chairmanship of CDO, Dhanusha. APF Chief and members, Civil Police with members, Nepal Army, District Forest Officer including Forest Department staff, Save the Historical Janakpur including members, DPF Council members, Mithila Wildlife Trust & members, Media personals including Patrakar Mahasangh Dhanusha chief, all political parties and so many other members participated in the great occasion. Dhanush Temple area, Dhanush Pond area and Ramjanki Temple area in front of Dhanush Temple were cleaned.
Mr. Krishna Prashad Dhungana, CDO, Dhanusha inaugurated the Snake Enclosure which was designed and constructed by Mithila Wildlife Trust in financial support of Department of Forest, Dhanusha, M/s Parshuram Bricks Industry and M/s Mahavir Bricks Industry. Cobra was released in the enclosure in presence of everybody present during the occasion.
It was really an exciting function for us as it is the first physical development in Dhanushadham Protected Forest. We hope this will give a new turn in development of proposed Dhanushadham Biological Unit.
