(Wildlife Biologist- Trainee), Santhosh Kumar Rajak (Social Mobiliser) Mukesh Kuma Rajak (Social Mobiliser) for listing of fauna and flora made them to understand present condition of this forest which is In the edge of entire vanishing of forest and wildlife species of this area.
It is very worse to sight such a pathetic condition of a forest in Nepal terai region. Though this Protected Forest houses many wild flora and fauna, none other than Mithila wildlife trust step forward for the protection of this last and single patch of forest from terai region of Dhanusha district. Nepal Forest Dept., recently issued an order, that not to carry any iron materials or axe, or knives inside the forest. As this forest is without any boundary, all the community peoples depends their firewood from this forest, they usually peal the bark of the trees and also fire below the trees which can cause complete wilting of trees in future.
Un restricted and over grazing of cattles causes all the bushy plants and new seedlings not to upcome for their normal growth which inturn disturbs the habitat of wild rabbits , foxes, reptiles etc.
Sand mining inside the forest causes uprooting of number of trees which is illegally used for firewood and for other buinding purposes in addition to illegal tree cut.
MWT is struggling to reinstall and protect this natural habitat for the aesthetic Biodiversity of Terai region of Nepal which can be done only with our and international helping hands.
