Snake Rescue Update | May 22 – June 16, 2025 (In just 3 weeks)

In just 3 weeks, Mithila Wildlife Trust has successfully rescued 18 snakes from various parts of Nepal, including Dhanusha, Mahottari, and Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Our rescue team worked actively in both urban and rural areas to safely handle and relocate the snakes from digger easy and critical situations.

During this time, we also organized several snake awareness and management trainings for farmers, students, and local people, helping them learn how to safely deal with snake encounters.

🐍 Rescued Snake Species:

Venomous:

1. Common Cobra – 3

2. Non-Venomous:Wolf Snake – 2

3. Rat Snake – 1

4. Checkered Keelback – 3

5. Common Sand Boa – 1

🙏 A big thank you to the local communities who chose to save the snakes by calling us for rescue instead of harming them. Your awareness and support play a key role in wildlife protection.

💪 Our rescue team is always active, alert, and ready to respond any time there is a need. Let’s keep working together to protect these amazing creatures and live in harmony with nature.
