Snake Rescue Update | May 17 – July 13, 2025 (In just 8 weeks)

In just 8 weeks, Mithila Wildlife Trust rescued 25 snakes from Dhanusha, Mahottari, and Kathmandu. Our team responded swiftly to both simple and critical rescue cases across urban and rural areas.

We also conducted several snake rescue and management trainings for students, local farmers, and community members, promoting safe and informed handling of snake encounters.

Rescued Snake Species:
Venomous: 14 Common Cobras, 1 Common Krait

Non-Venomous: 6 Rat Snakes, 3 Wolf Snakes, 1 Smooth Water Snake A heartfelt thank you to the communities who chose rescue over harm.
