Where We Work

Dhanusha is the local District where you can find the Dhanushadham Protected Forest and Mithila Wildlife Trust’s administrative offices.

Dhanushadham Protected Forest

While we are currently headquartered in this region and the majority of our conservation efforts have been in Dhanushadham, Mithila Wildlife Trust is working on conservation throughout the Central Terai region of Nepal in Province No. 2 and Makawanpur district of Province No. 3:

Though our major conservation efforts are outside Protected Areas of Nepal, we have also been working with the community for better implementation of Community Based Anti Poaching Activities in Buffer Zone of Parsa National Park. Our focused programme in Makawanpur district is to strengthen capacity of CBAPU to mitigate poaching of Pangolin and strengthen the capacity of dependent women group by providing technical training and start-up fund for starting alternative business to reduce pressure on natural habitat of Pangolin in Situ Buffer Zone Community Forest, Hetauda and Chuchchekhola Community Forest, Hetauda.
