MWT Chairman Delivering Speech on Importance of DPF

Mithila Wildlife Trust and Department of Forest gaining the strength to support the conservation of Dhanushadham Protected Forest from Dhanushadham VDC during an interaction programme held on 10th May 2014. The villagers were eager to know the importance of Tree and DPF in their environment and they were ready to support completely to eradicate present condition of scarcity of water and change in climate after listening to presentation delivered by Dev Narayan Mandal, Chairman, Mithila Wildlife Trust and Documentary presented on Climate Change Effects in Nepal.

An important decision was taken by the community people in the program that they will  stop grazing their animals in the core zone of the forest and will find substitute instead of depending completely on the forest. Mr. Shankar Narayan Jha, AFO, DoF, Dhanusha appreciated the decision. He also added that it will help DoF and MWT to restore the diminishing forest by protecting regenerating plants inside core area.
